New to the forum and have been rescuing a rusty Vitara which is in for its MOT on Monday at last! Fingers crossed. Looking forward to having a go at some off-roading in it after years of playing with all sorts of other motors.
I've fitted a 2" body lift and 3" springs with extended rear KYB shocks, plus various spacers etc and while I was at it raised the fuel tank 2"s as well. Had to do a fair bit of welding as 3 of the body to chassis mounts were well rotten and a fair bit of rot scattered around the inner arches and sills etc. Have got a set of 31/10.5/15's on there. Will see if I can post a couple of pics at some point.
And thanks to Lee for supplying me a new fuel filler neck as that was rusted through as well 👍🏼
looking at either making or buying some steel bumpers next and changing the rear lenses (mine just has fogs there at the moment), after those parts next I think....if the MOT goes well 🤞🏼
