hello leigh, its pete I didn't go for gamis lj as you probably know wot am tying to do is upgrad as much as possible without compromising the look 2 much iv got everything in pieces at the mo the tub is off, am digging all the rust out ,the chassis is ready for sandblasting so I have a clean slate to work with, so need a bit of guidance to witch bits to put on axels of wot, to get my discs on ,as far as engine I no I said a 1600 but if a 1300 is much easyer without altering the look of the width or height to much then ill go for that, having said that if its imposible ill stik with the 1000 that's av got( still a sweet running engine by the way) any help would be greatly appreciated . cheers pete.

hi pete, to be honest i would stick with the 1000cc for now as to fit a 1.6/1.3 you knead 413 gear box , exhaust, totally re make your engine mounts and gear box cross member and it don’t stop there , enjoy the 1000cc for now m8

you can use the discs/front hubs but not the shafts you knead your lj shafts and put the sj cvs on end of them that is a biatch of a job to get them apart if you get stuck i can always make you a pr up here m8

hello Leigh iv gone through most off the parts wot will need to go back on the lj along with the front disks , the bar (the one which you adjust the tracking with) the ball joint that connects to the steering box is shot, it looks to me like you have to replace the whole bar? all the other ones are fine, I think I mentioned it on the phone, I will need both rear number plate light holders , and a exhaust manifold cover .do you know were I can get a full set of pre bent break lines or will I have to bend my own. hope you get this Leigh cheers pete

hello leigh how do you want to go about me getting the above parts, with the addition of a steering damper if you have one, also the carb that's on mine is a bit dodgy to say the least ,am prity shure I will need to replace it sooner or later , I carnet remember when I did it 14 years ago if I changed the carb then or would I have kept the old lj carb , anyway if I can upgrade to a better one .can you send me that as well (if you have one),with the appropriate inlet manifold as well if this means I would need to change that. I can pay you with backs, pay pal, cheque which ever you prefer, just let me no how much once again Leigh thanks for your help, pete
