i have a k reg vit 8v and whn starting car wont idle ant cuts out n when i pump the gas pedal it revs up slowly but put ma foot down n just cuts out  ? just before this happened car felt jerky any ideas would be great cheers |

I'm no expert but sounds like fuel not getting ta engin check fuel filter failing that try carb or even fuel pump that is what I would check but could b something totally different hope this helps

nuts in the fuel ie water or the theres a vacume in the fuel system stopping it draw fuel

try it with the fuel cap off

Had same issue with my SJ few weeks ago . . . same engine was coil. Speak to leigh im sure he has hundreds!
