Something in the local paper I think it was the herald someone told me they're looking into shutting all byways at winter to stop so much wear...

Had a phone call from a Maidstone/Canterbury department today very helpfull There is a web site that we can visit soon when I can read my sribbles or I have decrpited it I will post it, for of all the byways that are closed for resons ie resurface and so on. Also I spoke to her about having a list of out of season byways (oct - Apr) but as she is from Canterbury area department there are no plans the present time to do this we wil have to aproch the other area deprtments, but if we clear any windfull trees to clear passage we should call her with the byway number. It was quite a productive t/c. A new sheame has started that byway numbers have been put on the byway aparenley I havent seen any yet but we have not been looking??? So see how this goes
