Guys, I have a F10A (SJ 410?) fitted in my little LJ, not too sure what speed i'm doing because I have 16" rims fitted so I think the speedo is not calibrated correctly, at 50mph on the speedo the rev counter is registering 4500rpm and it sounds like its gonna explode! I have a few questions please gents, what engine would fit to give it more ooomph, say 70-80mph?. Do I still keep the old 4 speed box or would it be better installing a new engine and 5 speed gearbox, if so would that then create major problems with the transfer box? I'll be honest guys, I'm no mechanic so this work will have to be paid for Is there such a thing as an 'Easy' fit? Any guidence on cost would be appreciated as well please! Thanks in advance, Tony

go for a 1.6 vitara carb engine with a 413 gear box you will knead a 413 fly wheel and clutch its still a fair amount of work and you will knead 413 chassis engine mounts and it will fly on 410 axcells

Forget driving around at 70/80mph in an SJ....that won't be fun . But if your pisssed off holding up traffic and not being able to overtake disabled scooters due to lack of power, go down the path Leigh suggested.

Thanks Guys I got a few more questions! Do I need to keep the original transfer box? I assume the exhaust wont fit? Will I need gearbox mounts? Will I need to destroy the gearbox tunnel? Do I need adapter plates made? Anything else I should know? Leigh, I see in another thread that you had a Vitara engine for sale, is that what I need and have you still got it Regards Tony
