hi, my off road suzuki steering whines, i have had the shaft off between column and box, (should this slide in and out??) with the shaft off it still whines but spins freely. all i can think is the steering lock would be rubbing or the column is just knackered. any other thoughts guys??

hi we find the mud dry s them out they only have nylon bushes bit of grease or oil will sort it , the shaft from box to column is fixed it is designed to collapse inside itself if you have a impact thus not to shove steering wheel into your head hope this helps  |

ah i see, sounds like a good design, do you have to strip it out to oil/ grease properly??

no you can use spray grease from bottom end and at the top take steering wheel off and spray down shaft
