Ok as well as trying to fit my hood thata too tight im also trying to get a pair of spotlamps fitted but im having trouble with the wiring, i cant seem to get a live from the switch stalk, there is a wire thats permantently live and goes negaitve when the lights are one, I want to power a relay (through a switch) to switch the lights on on main beam but cant seem to pull a switched live??.
How has anyone else done this as i cant figure iyt out, it seems like the switch is on the earth side of the lights? is this right, ive never had this trouble before wiring in something as simple as spotlights but im having trouble on this one lol, any help would be appreciated as ever

oh and p.s the jeeps VERY near to mot time so when shes done hopefully we can go out for a spin!!!
