I have another question, my tyre size is 750/16 easy or I could fit 265/75/16 but I only know this cause that's the size I used to have. My question is how does one work it out? Is there some conversion

i cant be alot of help on 16inch ones but with 15inch a 31x10.50x15 works as 31inch tall 10and half inch wide and 15inch rim and for rim width rule of thumb is how ever wide the tyre you want a rim - 2inch so a 10and half inch wide tyre on a 8inch wide rim , if any of you out there measure a alloy wheel and it measures 9inch thats a 8inch rim as you have half inch bead each side

t0 work out metric to imperial, it goes like this,
for eg 265-with 75- % of width 16- wheel size od
so.....
265mm multiplied by 75% = 198.75mm x by 2 =397.5mm + a 16" rim.
so 397.5mm into inches is roughly 16"
add 16" to a 16" wheel and you get.......... yep, 32" od
this works with any wheel size, so if it was a 235.85.16 you would end up again with 32"
235x85%=199.75x2=399.5=16"+16" wheel +32" od
